Miriwoong man and tour operator Peter Griffiths-Sebastian is so fed up with all the rubbish dumped around town and out on country that he’s organising a big CLEAN-UP of Country.

It’s taking place on the weekend on the 23 and 24 of March 2024.

Peter runs Pete’s Cultural Adventures and has teamed up with another tour operator, Steve from Silent Tours, to organise this event.

They want to rally the community behind this big clean-up, and hope it will help inform/educate more people.

It comes after many recent posts on local online community boards on the problem – claiming that the situation is getting worse.

They say it’s shameful and embarrassing when they take tourists out on country to see so much rubbish, and Pete says it hurts him to see it as a proud Miriwoong man, and it pains local elders.
