Our EKC Media Class students promo for Miriwoong Alive!

Miriwoong country stretches over 10,000 square kilometres, across the North East Kimberley in Western Australia, and into the Northern Territory.

The ancient language is in danger, with fewer than 10 fluent speakers remaining, and there’s a race against time to keep it alive.

This 26 part series is a partnership between Mirima Dawang Woorlab-gerring Language and Culture Centre (MDWg) and Waringarri Media, and is produced with the generous support of the Community Broadcasting Foundation.

The series is presented by Che Kelly, a young Miriwoong local who’s one of the teachers at MDWg in Kununurra.
