Waringarri Media has room for one more Media Intern to be part of our growing Newsroom team.

Are you interested in media and aged 16 to 30? We can fully train you in radio and video production, and the use of various media platforms.

You must have at least medium literacy level – the ability to read and write so you can write and read scripts and present radio and video programs.

We will fully train the right person who is enthusiastic and interested in media – either radio, video, online, animation, or social media.

You will be mentored and trained as part of our Waringarri Newsroom team which produces stories for our fortnightly East Kimberley Bulletin.

MEDIA TRAINEE ROLE

Role Purpose	* Use an understanding of Indigenous culture, people, and community to support the media tasks of Waringarri Media. * Help Waringarri Media make content such radio ads, interviews, radio shows, videos, and social media posts.
Role Requirements	* Basic computer skills * Some understanding of the Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel * Medium literacy levels * Strong communication skills to present and record things like time of day, news, weather, interviews, and voice pieces
Qualities	* A passion for Waringarri Media’s purpose * Ability to work well with others * Respectful and considerate Keen to learn and grow
