REVIVAL PARTY 20 October 2023 

Waringarri Media is back online with our new website and new logo, taking us back to our roots and forging ahead towards a bright future, together!

We want you to join us at our big revival celebration on Friday 20 October 2023, between 4-7pm at our premises at 2229 Speargrass Road, Kununurra. The LIVE show starts at 5pm but please make sure you arrive before then.

Over the past year, under new management and a new board of directors, Waringarri Media has been upgrading the radio studios, improving our sound, programs, and local information, to keep our community better informed and entertained. 

As the only locally based radio station in the East Kimberley, we want to be the HUB of our community – The Go-To Place for local news, information, conversations, events, sports, and music.

October 20 marks 30 years since we officially opened after obtaining our very own community radio license as 6WR Waringarri Radio, and over 35 years since our first-ever broadcast!  So, we want you to come celebrate with us, our inspiring survival story, and REVIVAL as OUR local VOICE that is bringing us together!

The event will include delicious FREE food – BBQ and more, traditional song, dance, music from Peter Brandy, speeches, videos, and family-friendly entertainment.

We will officially launch our new logo and website, and unveil our journey with you, through a short film and history panel showing Waringarri Media’s amazing story since our humble beginnings. We are also launching two new short films featuring local young stars.

Please tell your friends and family, and bring your whole mob along for the fun!

DOORS open 4pm, LIVE SHOW and Presentation begins at 5PM so please make sure you arrive before then, and runs until 7.30-8pm.
